{"id":9329,"date":"2023-07-18T14:47:59","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T12:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tecnopress.it\/?post_type=news&#038;p=9329"},"modified":"2023-07-18T14:47:59","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T12:47:59","slug":"a-challenge-won-in-the-automotive-sector","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.tecnopress.it\/en\/news\/a-challenge-won-in-the-automotive-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Complex geometries, robust alloys and maximum lightness: a challenge won in the automotive sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Incoming Request<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of our automotive customers asked us for support to work out a particularly challenging job: the aim was to create <strong>a family of supports for a hydraulic shock absorber connection<\/strong> for one of the main <strong>automotive OEMs<\/strong>, which had to combine characteristics of <strong>lightness and strength<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the <strong>limited mounting space<\/strong> and <strong>high production volumes<\/strong> had to be taken into account.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Project Management<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For this project, our team had to <strong>identify the ideal solution to satisfy the several technical and production aspects involved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The stringent need to save weight and the narrow assembly spaces forced us to <strong>develop a complex casting geometry with extremely thin wall thicknesses<\/strong>, bordering on feasibility.<\/p>\n<p>In order to meet this need and at the same time guarantee the necessary resistance requirements, <strong>we have selected a special alloy with high mechanical properties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the complexity of the geometry of the casting <strong>we have engineered and built the toolings suitable for satisfying the high requirements of mass production<\/strong>, as well as <strong>a fully automated cell for high-frequency machining <\/strong>to guarantee an<strong> excellent productivity <\/strong>and the<strong> hedging of the necessary capacity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Benefits to our Customer<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019ve joint a project that presented <strong>particularly challenging aspects<\/strong> and we\u2019ve \u00a0<strong>successfully completed<\/strong> it, creating production solutions that <strong>satisfied both the technical-quality and functional requirements of the requested products<\/strong>, in compliance with the incoming cost and capacity constraints of our customer.<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":9331,"menu_order":0,"template":"single-news.php","format":"standard","meta":[],"categorie_news":[330],"class_list":["post-9329","news","type-news","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categorie_news-case-history"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>A challenge won in the automotive sector | Tecnopress Spa<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Design and implementation of solutions for the production of supports for hydraulic shock absorbers.
