The aeronautics sector requires the utmost attention to be paid to the compliance with the sector’s regulations, which are particularly strict.
The request of one of our customers out of this sector was to develop a component for the reinforcement of aircraft seats, which had to combine extreme flexibility with functionality.
Our offer of a wide range of common and special aluminum alloys, and our attitude to look always for the best solution in terms of production, application and budget has allowed us to identify the special alloy suitable to meet the request.
In cooperation with the customer, we have designed a part with geometries and thicknesses at the limit of feasibility, responding to the customer’s need to obtain a highly resistant component, but light and functional.
In addition, we have solved the final assembly problems related to the extreme flexibility of the casting, compensating and exploiting the games of tolerances of the production processes.
The customer has obtained a component that fully meets his needs and complies with the stringent standards of the aviation industry. The part is currently supplied ready for in-line assembly.
